DEMETER project coordinator, Kevin Doolin, participated on behalf of DEMETER at the recent agritech conference powered by Design Terminal and X-Europe. The conference focused on the future of agriculture, bringing industry players and the agrifood community to share their insight of a resilient and innovative sector based on digitalisation.
Kevin participated in the panel talk on ‘Robots on the Fields’ discussing what automation will be capable of in the future and the impact on the agricultural sector. He also outlined the challenges the sector faces to make robotics more commonplace. Kevin also highlighted the funding available through H2020 projects such as DEMETER and AgROBOfood to create technology solutions to overcome agricultural challenges.
