The agriculture sector is characterized by multiple actors working in different constellations together or side by side. Each one with own interests and different conditions reaching from intensive high yield production to biodiversity and landscape protection, different fruits or animals, and over the various climatic conditions or legal frameworks of nations. Regarding an increasing implementation of digital methods, synergies and optimization can be enabled or even fostered if a seamless data and information transfer is given. OGC standards are ensuring interoperability a building the base for software architectures having high positive impact on the agriculture sector. Here we are showing the principles of examples, where OGC Standards are useful in the agriculture sector.
