The DEMETER project was featured at the exhibition organized within the “Days of Science and Innovation” festival in Montenegro. This event is traditionally the central annual event of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development and it aims to bring science and innovation closer to the widest population. University of Donja Gorica (UDG) supported the organization of the event and participated in various activities and exhibits. DEMETER had its own stand in the exhibit where we discussed the aims and results of the project with the visitors and displayed the materials (videos, brochures) prepared in collaboration with DunavNET. During the exhibit we were visited by the Minister of Science and Technological Development, prof. Biljana Šćepanović, who happened to wear the UDG university colors. She kindly accepted our invitation to join us in a picture at the H2020 DEMETER booth.
On the same day, DEMETER representatives from University of Donja Gorica attended the Wine Fair organized by City of Podgorica and Wine salon (Salon Vina) and talked to wine makers from Podgorica region. Together with DunavNET, UDG prepared an ad in a special edition of the Wine magazine that was issued in line with the fair. Prof. Tomo Popovic gave an interview on digital transformation in the wine industry, and discussed technology, interoperability, and different digital solutions for wine sector. The interview discussed DEMETER pilots and other projects implemented in this domain. The interview was published in the magazine and disseminated to wine makers and the fair visitors. It was an interesting experience talking to wine makers in the region about solutions for precision viticulture, transparency in supply chain, and possibilities for collaboration in the near future.
